Hello, internet.. It's been awhile. I'm about to make 2017 my bitch, so I'm back to "blogging" to hold myself accountable for these 3 important goals I have this year. Hopefully you also have some goals set for 2017 and this post (and future posts) help you in some way!
Top 3 Goals for 2017:
These are pretty typical goals of a female my age. You might call them "basic bitch goals". These are the top 3 things that fuel my anxiety, so I'm ready to get a handle on them.
Goal #1. I have a decent amount of credit card debt. Not going to get into detail because the internet is full of weirdos, but let's just say your girl has a slight shopping problem. Yes, I will admit it. And now I'm ready to face the consequences. I've done quite a bit of research on ways to tackle my debt and pay it down. I know it's obvious - just make higher payments! But - It's a lifestyle change. These two articles got my brain thinking and inspired me (1 + 2). Below are the changes and steps I'm going to take to achieve my goal.
Goal #2: I currently drive a beat up '06 Focus that is nicer to me than I am to her. I also owe a couple bucks on this car.. more than it's worth. Unlike my first goal, I set a date for this to be accomplished. By June 2017, I plan to have my current car paid off, and to buy a new car (2016 Honda HR-V EX, I'm coming for you!!). I did some calculations to determine the amount of money each paycheck I would have to put towards my loan to have my car paid off in the timeframe I wanted. Then, I set up my paychecks to auto-debit that amount to a separate bank account every pay period, so I would never see the money in my main account. I plan to use my tax refund and whatever I get in for my current car as the down payment on the new car. This goal is the one I'm the least worried about.
Goal #3: Last but not least, the goal that probably 99% of the world has on their list - get fit/lose weight/eat healthy. I never thought I needed to lose weight - until I went to the doctor and she told me otherwise. I guess my metabolism finally stopped working in my favor (you were right, Mom!). I've never been a fan of extreme dieting, so that's not the road I'm going to take. Instead, I'm going to make small changes that will (hopefully) help me achieve my goal. I am not educated in the health field, so my knowledge is based upon what I read on the internet (lol not always the best), know from life experiences, etc.
Small Changes for Big Results?:
So, that's my plan! If you read all of that, thank you, and I hope it inspired you in some way. Wish me luck! xo
Tell me in the comments YOUR goals for this year.
Let me know if you have a favorite healthy recipe :)
